Epic Web Studios's most recent project has been to create and maintain the social media presence for the "Erie Gives" event. The event, on August 2nd from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., is an opportunity to make online donations to nonprofit organizations from around the Erie area. The Erie Community Foundation will then match a percentage of each donation that you make. The more donations that are made to a nonprofit, the more matching funds they will receive. As part of the Erie Community Foundation's 75th Anniversary, they will share $75,000 among all the participating nonprofits.
On June 3rd, the Erie County Technical School hosted a DACUM (Developing A Curriculum) workshop to help technology students in the area establish best practices and standards. A final report was compiled, based on the best practices, comments, and conversation that occurred at the event.
Shaun Rajewski, the Lead Developer at Epic, was featured in the final report page by saying "Never box yourself in. Know your client then communicate with your team. Don't become obsolete." Managing Partner David Hunter was also featured, commenting "Learn how to learn and be diverse!"

Epic Web Studios is now part of a burgeoning baseball franchise. We are now officially the sponsor of Erie Little League's "Epic Web Studios Indians" & they are taking the city by storm! The Indians some extra tall sluggers on the roster and they are sure to dominate the field this year. We've heard they are even considering sending a scout over to Japan to find the next Ichiro Suzuki.
