What is Epic Agent?

Epic Agent is a small chat bubble, branded to your business, that answers questions instantly using your own website's content — and seamlessly hands the conversation off to a real human when the question gets serious.

It captures leads you're losing today, and it does it 24/7 without adding a single hour to your team's plate.

What Does Epic Agent Do?

Reads your website
We crawl your site automatically and index every page so the bot answers from your content – your services, your pricing, your hours, your policies. Not generic AI fluff. If you update a page, the bot re-reads it on a daily schedule (or instantly on demand).
Accepts your documents
Got a PDF brochure, a price list, a policy document, or an FAQ spreadsheet? Drop it into the dashboard. The bot indexes it alongside your website pages. Visitors can ask "what's your warranty policy?" and get the exact answer from your fine-print PDF
Answers questions your website can't
When a visitor asks something genuinely off-topic ("what's the weather in Erie today?", "what's a good recipe for pasta?"), the bot can still search the web instead of saying "I don't know." Configurable – turn it off if you want a strictly-on-topic bot.
Hands off to a human when it matters
The bot knows when it's out of its depth. It can:

  • Escalate to a contact form (captures the lead, emails your team)

  • Escalate to a Slack channel where your team can jump in live.

  • Escalate to a Live Agent console. Your staff sees the conversation, takes over, and chats with the visitor directly in the same widget. The visitor never has to switch channels.

Accepts file uploads during live chat
Once a human picks up, the visitor can attach a screenshot, a PDF, or a text file directly in the chat. Need to debug a customer's broken cart? They can send the screenshot. Need to verify an invoice? They can send the PDF. No "please email me at…" friction.
Hooks into your CRM
HubSpot integration: When a visitor identifies themselves with an email, the bot can look them up in your HubSpot, see they're an existing customer in lifecycle stage X with two open deals, and tailor its response. Stops your bot from telling a $50k prospect "please fill out our intro form."
Captures leads you're losing today
Every conversation is logged with a preview, the visitor's IP, and the full transcript. The escalation form drops directly into your inbox. Conversations that escalated get a flag so your team can prioritize.
Stays on-brand
Primary color, accent color, your logo on the bubble, your avatar in the chat header, your greeting copy, your quick-reply buttons, left or right of the screen. No "powered by some random AI company" (though we leave a tasteful Epic Web Studios attribution that you can turn off).

Why Your Site Deserves a Better Chat Tool

  • Visitors expect chat. They've used ChatGPT. If your site has a static contact form and a phone number, you're behind the curve set by every site they used in the last 30 days.
  • Most chat tools answer generically. A generic bot will tell a user to "visit our pricing page" when they're already on it. Epic Agent reads the page they're looking at and answers the actual question.
  • Live human handoff is the killer feature. The reason most chatbot rollouts fail is a missed exchange. A bot will say, "I'll have someone email you," and then the visitor never hears back. Epic Agent's Live Agent flow loops a human into the conversation within the same window, with no email/phone gap.
  • Your traffic is already paid for. SEO, ads, email marketing – every visitor who leaves without talking to you is a leak. The bot plugs that leak.

How Is Epic Agent Implemented?

  1. Install script tag: In just five minutes, your website will have the instructions to employ Epic Agent.
  2. Epic Agent crawls your website: It will index every page, post, FAQ, and resource – becoming an instant expert on your business.
  3. Dashboard Access: You'll be given access to an administrative dashboard where you can:
    • Keep tabs on every conversation, including those requiring human involvement.
    • Upload files such as PDFs, FAQs, and policies to give Epic Agent additional context to answer inquiries confidently.
    • Customize colors and greetings to match your brand.
  4. Email and Slack alerts: Every time a visitor asks for a human, you'll get pinged via email or instant messaging.
  5. Performance monitoring and fine-tuning: You'll never have to worry about agent performance; that's our job.

How Much Does Epic Agent Cost?

  • How much Epic Agent costs: Epic Agent is free to install and costs $50 per month

  • Why it costs that much: Each conversation costs a few cents in AI tokens. We bundle that into a flat monthly fee with a generous cap. You'll always be able to see how much you've used in the dashboard, so there are no surprise bills.

  • What happens if you exceed the cap: In the very rare event that you exceed the cap, the bot will pause (with a clean message to the visitor – no broken-bot embarrassment) until next month or until you ask us to enable overages – your call.

Can Any Website Use Epic Agent?

For the most part, yes, nearly any website can use and benefit from Epic Agent. This includes websites on popular platforms such as:

  • WordPress (header/footer plugin, or theme files directly)
  • Shopify (theme.liquid)
  • Squarespace (Code Injection — Business plan+)
  • Wix (Custom Code — Premium plan+)
  • Webflow (Custom Code — paid plan)
  • HubSpot CMS, Ghost, BigCommerce, Drupal, Joomla, Weebly, raw HTML, etc

Websites that may encounter issues: Free-tier site builders that forbid custom code, sites with strict CSP, AMP, and native apps. The bigger practical risk isn't widget compatibility — it's whether our crawler can actually read the site's content (WAFs, auth gates, robots.txt).

Addressing Common Concerns

Get Epic Agent

You're paying to bring people to your website. Right now, most of them read for 30 seconds and leave. Epic Agent turns the silent ones into conversations, and turns the questions you'd otherwise miss into leads your team can close. It pays for itself the first time it captures a lead that would have bounced.
