James Wnek is an AI Engineer and Lead Web Developer at Epic Web Studios with over 15 years of experience building high-performance websites and AI-driven applications in Erie, PA. A Computer Science graduate of Edinboro University, James got his start running the help desk at Northwestern High School before joining Epic as an intern in 2010 — and making enough of an impression to earn a full developer role within a single semester. Fifteen years later, he's one of the strongest technical minds on the team.

James operates at the intersection of AI engineering and full-stack web development. On the AI side, he designs and builds AI-native applications using tools like Claude Code, OpenAi Codex, and Gemini — creating systems that fundamentally change how digital products are built, not just automated. On the web side, he architects and delivers production-grade websites with a deep technical command of the full-stack ecosystem and one of the team's strongest SEO skillsets — a discipline that demands more engineering precision than ever in the AI content era.
